Are members required to be double vaccinated for Covid19?

Yes, all members and guests who wish to play and train on our court must be fully vaccinated and have proof of vaccination.

Please remember that vaccination does not mean you are invincible. We will still respect the rules of wearing masks and using hand sanitizers.

If you are feeling unwell, or have symptoms, please take care and stay away from the club. Be overly cautious for all of our guests sakes who may be immunocompromised in some manner or more at risk if they become infected.

Where are you located?

We are located in Progreso on calle 25 between 68 and 70. Blue wall with grey metal gates.
Please park away from other driveways and do not impede our neighbors parking in any manner. Our Italian neighbor to our east really does not like people parking in front of his house so please be conscious of that.

I have a fake paper copy of the Vaccination form that I use, can I use it?

No, thank you for asking so nicely.
If we learn that your vaccination form is not accurate you will not be allowed to play at our location. Please provide accurate information only.

I am a beginner, but would like to see what Pickleball is?

If you have your Covid vaccination status verified by us, you are more than welcome to come and try us out!!!
We would love to have you come and see the court, learn the basics, smack the ball around and make your decision about your future with Pickleball.
We do have beginner paddles for you to use in your first trial and available for rent for future use.

How do you make a reservation?

You must first join with a membership and then will be provided with a login and password to make your reservations.

How do I join?

You can follow the links on our website to Join Now.
Complete the online form and accept the disclosure forms including the Covid Vaccination forms.
This will submit your membership for approval and you will be notified within 1 to 12 hours. (I sleep sometimes!)
At the point we have determined we are full, we will put people on a wait list.

Is there a dress code or shoe requirement?

Yes.
Court shoes or cross trainers must be worn.
Flip Flops will not be tolerated!

Appropriate sporting clothing at all times. We will not be playing in our swimsuits. Ever.

Are there any time restrictions to reserving the court?

Yes, when we first open we will be doing so on reduced hours to be sure we can take care of everyone. 
8am to 11am
and
3pm to 7pm
will be the hours for the first few weeks.

Is there a benefit to joining the Progreso Pickleball club?

First, you get to play with all the fantastic members we have gathered.
Second, you will be playing on an exclusive Pickleball Court that is second to none in the area.
Other Benefits:

  • Allowed to reserve your times days in advance of non-members.
  • Use of bbq area for social events
  • Reduced registration fee for special tournaments
  • You will receive a 5% discount on equipment purchased via the club.
My friends are also members, can I play with them?

When you are making your reservation, you will be asked to assign the other members or add the guests you will be playing with. All fees are prorated according to their membership level per hour. Guests all have an additional fee per person each time. 
You can bring up to 6 people for a doubles game, 4 if you are playing singles together so that you can rotate people.

What are the restrictions with the viewing area?

Half the fun of Pickleball seems to be watching others! For this reason, our Premium members are invited to share our private viewing area for 30 minutes prior to their scheduled time and up to 1hour after. They cannot stay longer due to covid restrictions. Please be conscious of others and respect their privacy!
We are here to have fun and learn the game together.

How does the monthly membership work?

Our memberships run from the first of the month. Any membershps purchased on other days will be prorated for the monthly cost automatically.

Why does the membership ask for my date of birth?

Our reservation system will allow us to create events based on the information we collect on the application form.
For example: if we wish to send an invite out to the women for a tournament between certain ages, that is possible. At first most of our events will be mixed ages, but in the future we may include different events.

Do you have to be a member to attend our clinics?

Yes. For most of the clinics we will only be accepting reservations from our registered and approved members.
Occassionally we will offer beginner lessons where you will not have to be a full member to attend.

What is the CourtReserve App for my phone?

CourtReserve is the online reservation system that we use. You can easily add the app from App Store or Google Play.
Then access your online account and make your reservations from your phone!

Steps to Getting SignUp on the CourtReserve App

in the Android and Iphone stores

1.Download the CourtReserve App

  1. Click Don’t Have an Account in the bottom right corner

3.Search for ENTER ORG NAME

  1. Create your account by choosing a membership and filling out the form.
  2. Once you have an account then enter ALL Family members. Parents need to be in the system as well as their children
  3. Enter all required information
  4. Search the app and become familiar! Events, classes, clinics and court time. Reservations are for booking courts.

My Events and My Reservations are all of the future bookings and events you have signed up for.

Why did you build a court in your backyard?

Progreso Pickleball was created because we wanted to experience the joy of playing Pickleball in our own backyard. We now have a private court in our backyard area where our guests and members are able to play throughout the day. Evening times are available to avoid the scorching heat of the day. 
We look forward to meeting you and playing together in our backyard!

Where have the children gone to play…
… Children of all ages are playing in our backyard!!!
like the olden days when people played in their backyards and enjoyed their friends
(not binge watching the latest on Netflix!)

I am not arriving until a later date but wish to be a member when I arrive?

We will be having a limited number of members on a first come first serve basis. We are not 100% sure on what that number will be at this time.
Keep in mind that most double court reservations will have 4 to 6 people playing so they can rotate through.  As we learn the habits of our group, we will find a comfortable number.

do you allow guests?

Guests are always welcome and may play for the daily rate. The current fee schedule is posted on the website. If you will be a recurring guest, a membership will be required after 2 visits.

Do you have a practice wall?

We do have two practice walls on the south side of the court on the street. These will be great for practicing hand eye movement and dinking by your self. There will be a net installed at the top of this wall in the future.

You CANNOT use the wall at the east side of the house as that is an adjoining wall to our neighbors house. He would prefer that we never bounce a ball against his house please.

Is there a seating area at the court?

We do have benches for the players located at the ends of the court.
We do have a “viewing area” available for special events.
Space is limited and due to Covid we require you to wear a mask while watching the players.

Do you have a lost and found?

If an item is “forgotten”, we will place it in a bin in the outdoor kitchen area for your next visit. This bin will be emptied on a weekly basis.

Do you offer Pickleball lessons?

Yes, we will have several coaches we recommend for your training program. Rates can be found in the Lesson section of the website.

Do you have a bathroom?

Yes, we have a bathroom located off the pool area. Please be courteous and keep this in a clean manner.

Do you have any paddles for our game?

Players are required to provide their own paddle.
However, we do have several paddles available for rent if needed.
At first we will only have beginner level paddles for rent but as the program grows we will add more paddles. As well as a “demo program” available if you are looking to try out a new paddle before buying.

Do you provide balls?

Players are required to provide their own pickleballs. You may purchase the balls for personal use from us.

Do you provide balls for practice?

If you are having a practice session and wish to have a bucket of 25 balls, these can be rented from us by the hour.

Are the courts lighted?

Yes, the courts are lit for night time playing. However, we are in a residential neighbourhood and we must respect our neighbours at all times. For this reason, at the last time the lights will be promptly turned off.

What happens if it rains?

We will not ever play on a wet court.
We do have court drying equipment so if raining has stopped completely, we will dry the court as quickly as we can.
You will not be charged for your reservation time if it is raining one hour prior to your start time. If it rains during your time we will credit you on your next session if there is more than 15 minutes left in your session. We are here to be fair. 

What happens if it snows?

Jajajaja, just seeing if you are paying attention. If it is snowing it means you should be booking your flight south at the same time you are making your court reservations!

How windy does it get in the court area?

The court is somewhat protected in the back yard area by our property. As such, a windy day on the beach could be a quite calm day in our yard.

Do we use the same ball when playing doubles?

We will have a container of bleach and water mixture at the side of the court if you wish to keep your balls cleaned and do not want to touch balls other people have touched. This is up to you to work out within your own games for Covid19 reasons.

Is there drinking water here?

We do have a garafon of water in the outdoor viewing area. While we ask that you bring your own water and glasses, we are prepared if you need to top up your water bottle during your game or training session.

What currency is shown on the website?

We are using the Mexican Peso.

I will be riding my bicycle, is there somewhere safe to park?

Yes, when we let you there is a spot to park your bicycles by the staircase. If there are more than 4 bicycles, you will have to use the overflow bicycle parking located by the other stairs.
